Announcement of the 24th Gathering

I am the red cry of liberation.

Sing my name, mother, in the eastern sky.

I am the bloody flag of freedom.

Sing my name, my wife, in the eastern sky.

I am the red dawn of liberation.

I am a prisoner, under the eternal soil of Khavaran.

Sing, O heroic people, my name in the eastern sky.

We will gather again, we will shout loudly again, neither the passage of time nor the passage of life, and until the day we remain, let us not let the dust of life cast a shadow over our historical memory, let us not let the memory of our comrades who were drowned in their own blood at the hands of the ruling hill farmers, be forgotten.

This year, we will gather at 5:30 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Husby Turf Assembly Hall in Stockholm and shout loudly that we will neither forget nor forgive the killing of political prisoners in the 1960s. We shout that the killing of thousands of the most beautiful children of the sun and wind is a deep social wound on the body of Iran’s bloody history that will never be forgotten.

The massacre of dissidents in the 1960s was not just the killing of a few thousand political prisoners. It affected all areas of people’s lives and society.

The Center for Iranian Political Prisoners in Exile, in continuation of its investigation into the aspects and extent of the impact of the killing of political prisoners on various social spheres and people’s lives, has dedicated a gathering marking the 29th anniversary of the Stockholm massacre to the events of the 1960s and the situation of the families of the deceased after the execution of their loved ones.

Nasser Mohajer, Majid Nafisi, Zhaleh Ahmadi, and Bahram Rahmani will be guests on the program, giving lectures on “The Events of the Sixties, Why and How They Came About,” “Prison Letters,” a comparison of the Shah’s and Islamic Republic’s prisons, and “A Research Study of the Situation of the Families of the Martyrs.”

The play “Nightmare” directed by Khosrow Shahriari and starring Gisoo Shakeri and her ensemble, as well as Gisoo Shakeri singing and Fariborz Fakhari performing pieces on the soprano saxophone, will be another part of this year’s Stockholm gathering program.

The program will be broadcast live on the website of the Center for Iranian Political Prisoners (in Exile) and also on the Center’s Facebook pages at the following addresses.
