“Amnesty”, another farce from the bloodthirsty dictator
Islamic Republic Television, citing the head of the regime’s judiciary, announced that Khamenei had agreed to pardon tens of thousands of people convicted in “revolutionary courts” and “general courts.” It went on to mention those arrested during the recent revolutionary uprising, saying they would be released on the condition that they “repent and repent.”
Ali Khamenei’s “pardon” of the recent uprising prisoners, like his other actions, is nothing more than a hypocritical and ridiculous act. With this show, he wants to take revenge on the people who have severely humiliated him over the past four months, and humiliate the thousands of young people he has imprisoned by expressing regret and asking for his pardon.
The dictator has suffered a severe blow from the people, and his position, existence, personality, and power have been severely attacked. Power has made Khamenei, like any other dictator, especially his predecessors in the Pahlavi regime, narcissistic.
In totalitarian, authoritarian, and fascist governments, whose reading and practice are the same regardless of where they are on this planet, the place of the plaintiff and the accused, and the place of the perpetrator and the victim, changes. The dictatorship, which defines itself with an undisputed leader, constantly tries to reproduce itself and show itself powerful through propaganda in public opinion, and to show its power to the people.
Ali Khamenei, like other dictators, cannot change his inevitable fate by fighting with the people. Neither hypocritical farces of this kind, nor the suppression, killing, execution, and imprisonment of freedom seekers, will save him and his government from the fate that awaits them.
In the eyes of the vast majority of Iranians, Khamenei is accused of crimes against humanity and is being pursued by them. If he survives and does not commit suicide and is not assassinated by the Revolutionary Guards, he will be tried on this charge in a fair court that the people will establish after the revolution.
