The criminal Islamic Republic wants to execute another worker-fighter. Masoud Bayramund, a truck driver, was arrested during the uprising of the people of Boroujerd on November 29. He is one of the street heroes who stood alone against a herd of Basijis who were killing people with sticks and clubs.
Massoud Bayramund was tried and sentenced to death in a mock trial on Thursday, January 2, on charges of “moharebeh” (war on enemies). His “crime” is that he stood up to the oppressive mercenaries of the Islamic Republic who attacked his wife and newborn child with sticks and clubs.
The criminal Islamic Republic does not hesitate to commit any crime to frighten the people and crush their uprising. It has sentenced to death a large number of street fighters who stood up to the mercenaries and murderers of this brutal regime. This murderous regime first goes to those who are less well-known for execution. Let us make his name world-famous and make his execution difficult for the Islamic Republic. Let us be his voice and that of all the imprisoned fighters who have been sentenced to death.
The only way to stop the executions and the repression and killing of fighters in the streets is to dismantle the Islamic Republic’s system of executions and its apparatus of repression and oppression, and this will not be possible without the presence of millions of people in the streets and nationwide strikes, especially in key production sectors such as oil and gas companies and powerful administrative centers, such as banks and urban and road transportation centers, ports and railways.
The Islamic Republic will try to maintain power by killing people until the last moment. In this case, like the 1957 uprising, the people will have no choice but to consign the Islamic Republic to the dustbin of history through mass armed struggle.
