The Ruling Executioners in Iran Executed Four Political Prisoners Within Two Days
Call to Save the Lives of Two Political Prisoners Sentenced to Death.
.
The executioners of the Islamic Republic of Iran, continuing their crimes and hostility toward the people of Iran, have taken the right to life from four more political prisoners.
.
At dawn on Monday, March 30, 2026 (Farvardin 10, 1405), the ruling executioners carried out the death sentences of two political prisoners, Mohammad Taghavi Sang-Dehi and Akbar Daneshvar-Kar, in Ghezel Hesar Prison. They were charged with “baghi” (armed rebellion) due to alleged membership in the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization of Iran, “armed operations in Tehran,” and “assembly and collusion against national security.”
.
One day later, at dawn on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (Farvardin 11, 1405), Babak Alipour and Pouya Ghobadi, two other defendants in the same case, were also sent to the death squad on similar charges. The execution of these four political prisoners was carried out while two other co-defendants in the same case—Vahid Bani-Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer—are facing similar death sentences, and their lives are in serious danger.
The judicial process, as always, has not complied with the principles of a fair trial. In fact, it must be said that the courts of the Islamic Republic are courts of injustice rather than courts of law. Political prisoners in these courts are denied access to lawyers of their choice and are not properly informed of the indictments against them, which are generally prepared by interrogators and torturers. These courts rely on forced confessions extracted under torture. The judges are fully aware of these realities and issue their rulings based on the information provided by interrogators. They are complicit, alongside prosecutors and interrogators, in the killing of political prisoners.
.
The Iranian Political Prisoners Association (in Exile) strongly condemns the execution of Mohammad Taghavi Sang-Dehi, Akbar Daneshvar-Kar, Babak Alipour, and Pouya Ghobadi. The death penalty, in any form, is state-sanctioned killing and must be stopped. The names of Vahid Bani-Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer must be made known globally, and the criminal Islamic Republic regime must be pressured to revoke their death sentences.
.
The Iranian Political Prisoners Association (in Exile) hereby calls on all political activists, freedom seekers, and all those who oppose the inhumane death penalty to help save the lives of Vahid Bani-Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer. On our social media accounts, with our individual and collective initiative and creativity, let us write: “Cancel the death sentences of Vahid Bani-Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer.” This effort must continue until their death sentences are revoked.
.
May the Islamic Republic of Iran be overthrown by the people, without foreign intervention.
No to executions, no to imperialist–Zionist–reactionary war
Long live social revolution
