The execution of young protesters, under the shadow of war, is a crime against humanity

The criminal regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran has once again begin killing imprisoned youth in its prison. This criminal regime wants to delay its inevitable collapse at the hands of Iran’s suffering people for a little while longer by slaughtering another generation of young Iranian people. Generation after generation it has used repression and execution with the aim of deterrence and prolonging its cursed life. This time, under the shadow of war — after imposing silence and hopelessness on society through brutal repression and the killing of thousands in the Dey 1404 [December–January 2025–2026] protests — it is sending group after group of imprisoned youth to the firing squads in revenge for those Dey 1404 protests.Since 28 Esfand 1404 [March 19, 2026] until now, the ruling criminals have executed at least 24 political prisoners in connection with the Dey 1404 protests. The names of these individuals, in order of execution, are:

Saleh Mohammadi, Saeed Davoudi, Mehdi Ghasemi, Amirhossein Hatami, Mohammadamin Biglari, Shahin Vahedparast Kolour, Ali Fahim, Amirali Mirjafari, Erfan Kiani, Sasan Azadvar, Ebrahim Dolatabadinejad, Mehdi Rasouli, Mohammadreza Miri, Mohammad Abbasi, Abbas Akbari Feyzabadi, Ashkan Maleki, Mehrdad Mohammadi Nia, Fathollah Avari, Javad Zamani, Abolfazl Saeidi, Mohammad Amini Dehagani, Aref Khoshkar, Erfan Esfandiari, Golmohammad Mohammadi, and Mehdi Khanki.According to published reports, 26 political prisoners from the Dey protesters who have been sentenced to death in Isfahan have been transferred to solitary confinement cells ahead of execution and are in imminent danger of being executed.  In the same period, Mehrab Abdollahzadeh and Aref Khoshkar, two protesters from the revolutionary “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, were also executed. At least 110 political prisoners — most of them detainees from the Dey protests — have been sentenced to death in various cities. Seventy of them were sentenced to death in Isfahan. The names of some who have been sentenced to one to four counts of execution include:

Alireza Sepahi, Abolfazl Sepahi, Alireza Raeisi, Ghaem Hosseini, Mirhossein Safari, Amirhossein Maleki, Ali Dashti, Amirhossein Ebrahimi Analoujeh, Sherwin Bagherian, and Abolfazl Ebrahimi.  Mojtaba Dehbandi and Kianoush Hamzei Kazerouni were sentenced to death in Shiraz on charges of aiding wounded protesters. Mehnam Navab Safavi and Ahad Shokouhian [detainees from Dey] and Amirhossein Akbari Monfared [charged with membership in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran] were recently sentenced to death in Tehran. The Association of Political Prisoners of Iran [in exile] strongly and with revolutionary anger condemns these executions and warns the criminals of the Islamic Republic: stop executing the children of the people of Iran. You have killed generation after generation, yet there is no sign of resilience in Iranian society. Protests are ongoing across Iran and people’s capacity to endure has reached its final limit. The people can no longer bear this much crime and slaughter of their loved ones, and soon they will take to the streets again, and this time they will bring down the foundations of your tyranny and oppression.
